We are REALLY excited for 2023!! This community helped us do some amazing things in 2022 and with a new year come new opportunities. We have new ways to engage the community for Ovarian Cancer Awareness, along with our annual traditions. It’s been our pleasure engaging in Summerton and Manning, SC and we are branching out to bring ovarian cancer awareness and raise funds for ovarian cancer research to other communities.
In the spirit of the holidays, the JWC Memorial Foundation elves handed out 60 blankets to senior citizens across the Summerton and Manning area – Branco Adult Daycare, Council on Aging Summerton/Manning and homebound Seniors. They were so grateful for their Christmas surprise. It filled us with gratitude to bless them with a warm blanket and put a smile on their faces.
It has been enlightening to engage with the community and arm people with much needed information about this horrible disease – ovarian cancer. The 11th Annual Think Pink – A Salute to Cancer Overcomers event hosted by Annette Smith was unforgettable. To hear stories from cancer survivors, cancer fighters and those families impacted by cancer was inspiring; reminding us to keep fighting the good fight. Thanks for allowing us to partner with you. We had an amazing time and will see you next year!
