In April, we held our annual #iwalk4joanne ovarian cancer awareness walk/run in April. The town of Summerton, SC came out to walk with surprise Easter Egg hunt for the children. It’s a reminder that BIG things happen in small towns. There were virtual participants in Florida, New Jersey, Maryland, Georgia and Mexico! Wow…Mexico! May was just as busy with our annual Women’s Health Month event in Orlando, FL. You’re NOT OvaryActing was such an impactful panel discussion. Moffit Cancer Center talked on the importance of understanding the signs/symptoms related to ovarian cancer and how genetic testing can support that awareness. Also in May, we support the Breast Cancer Overcomers at their Breast amazing walk in Manning, SC. We WERE busy!
Now we’re getting ready to Turn the Greens Teal at Santee Cooper Country Club for our annual charity golf tournament in August.
