In the spirit giving, family and members of the JWC Memorial Foundation have been giving back to the community.
We participated in Clarendon County Veteran’s Day Breakfast and Pocotaligo River Health & Rehab Center Christmas Parade.Our annual Day of Giving was amazing!!!
Thanks to your generosity, we were able to provide 88 blankets to chemotherapy patients at Santee Oncology in Sumter, SC and Medical University of South Carolina Hollings Cancer Center in Charleston, SC. Including holiday gift baskets to ovarian, gynecological and colon cancer patients; all needed the extra warmth as they received chemotherapy. Our hearts were full as patients expressed their gratitude that someone thought of them during the holidays, especially those who traveled alone to receive chemotherapy.
We also met with South Carolian Oncology Associates for an important donation.
Over the years we have given $15,000 to research and care in memory of our beloved Joanne Charles. It was a blessing to be a blessing. Special thanks to Beth Kellogg (Santee), Anne Pate (MUSC), Meredith Anderson (SCOA) and the nurse/volunteer teams for making this possible. Every patient needs to know WE ARE IN THIS TOGETHER! JWC Memorial Foundation is going to do ALL we can to bring awareness to ovarian cancer!
